PIONEER MUSEUM OF ALABAMA

The Pioneer Pantry GIFT SHOP features corn meal ground in grist mill on the grounds, hot sauces, jellies, preserves, cane syrup, and natural honey produced locally. An assortment of unique items such as Ammish bonnets, handmade dolls, homemade goatmilk soaps and lotions, and wonderful pottery pieces fashioned by David Plunkett in Dothan, Alabama are available. Pieces of cloth woven on the museum loom are also available.

The children will enjoy shopping in the Toy Section which features coon skin caps, wooden toys, arrow heads, trains and train whistles.

Artist Shirley Blankenship has fashioned several handmade Native American pieces available only in the Museum gift shop. She also has pictures painted on feathers.

The SOUTHERN LITERATURE Section has books for all ages and interests. Below is a short list of some of the books available.
