PIONEER MUSEUM OF ALABAMA

  • February 13th (Saturday) Sacred Harp Sing in
  • February - March QUILT SHOW -  Every other year, see us in 2011
  • May 8th (Saturday) Butter Churnin, Syrup Sopping - Churn butter on the porch while you chat with friends. Enjoy a sausage making demonstration by Kelly's Foods of Elba.
  • June 12th (Saturday) Flag Retirement Ceremony - Ceremony demonstrating the proper way to dispose of the flag of our proud nation.
  • October Pioneer Days -  8 - 9 Native American Encampments and Demonstrations, Wagon Rides, Children's Activities, and much more.
  • December 9-11, 2010 OLE TIME CHRISTMAS - Come experience Christmas as the pioneers did. There will be music in the different areas of the grounds including the organ in the log church. Refreshments will be served in several of the buildings including the demonstration cabin, the reunion cabin, the one room school, and the general store. There will be ornament making for the children along with Father Christmas available for picture taking. Time - 6pm until 8 pm.

    Special occasion activities are found throughout the year.
