Favorite "Museum-ism"

"Anything said by our older Volunteers; they have the BEST anecdotes and sayings. Their words of wisdom may often make you laugh but there's always hard truth/lesson learned behind every word."

Favorite Historical Time Period/Culture

"Civil War. Definetly the Victorian South. I love Amish culture; I appreciate their lifeways so much. I've tried to convince my husband to give up all technology and move to Amish country. I'm still working on that!"

Who Knew? Hidden Talent/Ability

"I'm really great at the lucet. It's a cord making artform dating back to the Vikings. And I sew. I make all the costumes for our programs."

Seth Kinard

Assistant Director

Favorite "Museum-ism"

"I really like the variety of people that come in to the Museum; I get to interact with people from all over the world. Today I had a vistor perform a magic trick for me, and the first man I ever rang up was from England."

Favorite Historical Time Period/Culture

"The Guilded Age and the Progressive Era. I love anything to do with Theodore Roosevelt."

Who Knew? Hidden Talent/Ability

"I LOVE to cook! I enjoy trying new recipes and exploring different flavors."

Mike Harris

Facilities Manager

Favorite "Museum-ism"

"I love it when we have older visitors that have actually lived their life with our artifacts. There is always something to learn from them."

Favorite Historical Time Period/Culture

"I enjoy the Pioneer Period. There was so much more to the living styles and lifeways of the people."

Who Knew? Hidden Talent/Ability

I collect treasures from the past. I love anything from past decades!

Groundskeeper

Favorite "Museum-ism"

"It can get a little spooky around here at night so you may want to put a few lights on. And the most important thing to remember: Don't let anything in - or out.....OUT?" - Night at the Museum

Favorite Historical Time Period/Culture

Civil War

Who Knew? Hidden Talent/Ability

"I enjoy a good prank. I am apparently really good at it, too."
